The Government of Montenegro has decided after 4 years to approve new ambassadors, Bernard Çobaj and Nebojša Đoković, to Kosovo and Serbia, thus filling the vacant positions after 4 years.

The future ambassador to Belgrade received unanimous support, while the deputies of pro-Russian parties that do not recognize Kosovo's independence, Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević, did not vote for the ambassador to Pristina.

The previous Ambassador of Montenegro to Pristina, Ferhat Dinoshi, left his post in 2020, because he had met the conditions for retirement.

Meanwhile, the previous ambassador to Belgrade, Tarzan Milosevic, left the post after the change of power in Montenegro in 2020. He was a member of the Democratic Party of Socialists, which was led by former President Milo Djukanovic.
