Analyst Tomë Gashi, in a direct link to News24, commented on the situation after the elections in Kosovo and the impact of the results on the country's politics.
According to Gashi, the key factor in these elections was control of northern Kosovo, a territory of strategic importance. “The strongest card that Albin Kurti has had has been northern Kosovo, as it represents a very important territory for the country. He has managed to restore full sovereignty in this area,” he declared.
Gashi also stressed that the outgoing government has been successful and has not had any clashes with international allies. “Kurti has not damaged relations with internationals, on the contrary, the US has recently approved an agreement to purchase weapons from Kosovo worth around 700 million euros,” he added.
