Swiss journalist Amèle Debey, founder and editor-in-chief of the independent media outlet 'L'Impertinent', has covered the wave of civic protests that have been taking place in Albania for months now.
The journalist has closely followed the dynamics of citizen gatherings and developments on the ground, visiting Tirana, Vlora, and the protected area of the Narta lagoon, to see up close the causes of the popular revolt.

According to the editor-in-chief of 'L'Impertinent', the reaction of Albanian citizens carries a clear message that goes beyond the removal of a certain political figure, aiming for a complete change of the system.
"For more than a month, thousands of Albanians have been protesting every evening, after work, without paralyzing the country. They are not demanding the resignation of a single person. They are demanding the end of 35 years of power in the hands of the same names. We were in Tirana, Vlora and in the Narta lagoon," says Amèle Debey.
