US President Donald Trump has reacted to reports of war against Iran, accusing the media of "aiding and abetting the enemy".
In a strong post on the Truth Social platform, Trump declared that reports that Iran is gaining military superiority over the US are "complete lies" and "absurd."
"When 'fake news' claims that the Iranian enemy is gaining military superiority against us, it is a virtual act of treason," Trump wrote.
He added that certain media outlets are giving "false hope" to Iran, while describing critical journalists as "cowardly Americans who are supporting our country."
Meanwhile, speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump categorically denied rumors of a secret agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the Donbas region in Ukraine.
In recent months, speculation has been circulating that the US president had promised the Kremlin the transfer of the entire territory of Donbas. When asked directly by reporters, Trump replied curtly: "No."
