Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that billionaire Elon Musk's huge economic and political influence could pose a threat to small countries. In an interview with German TV show ZDF Magazin Royale, he criticized Musk's comments about politics in other countries, stressing that a person with so much economic power should not influence such matters.

Zelensky also expressed hope that the strengthening of Democrats in the US Congress will bring more military and financial aid to Ukraine, putting pressure on Vladimir Putin to negotiate peace.

He revealed that he had proposed that Washington broker a winter ceasefire with Moscow, which would guarantee electricity and water supplies to citizens, as well as create conditions for holding elections. However, Zelensky called it unfair to hold elections under the current conditions, as millions of Ukrainians abroad, in occupied territories and on the war front would not be able to vote.

"Putin does not want to end the war," the Ukrainian president declared, reiterating that Moscow does not accept a ceasefire. He also demanded that Germany supply Ukraine with Taurus missiles, which he said would help destroy Russian ballistic missile launchers.
