The Russian Foreign Ministry said today that it has warned diplomatic missions in Kiev to be ready to immediately evacuate their personnel if massive attacks are ordered on the Ukrainian capital, in retaliation for Ukraine's attempts to disrupt May 9 celebrations in Moscow marking the Soviet army's victory over the Nazis in World War II.
“The Russian Foreign Ministry calls on the authorities of your country... to take this announcement with the utmost responsibility and ensure the timely evacuation of diplomatic and other delegations from Kiev in the event of inevitable retaliatory attacks on Kiev by the Russian armed forces,” spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a video message via Telegram.
