Residents of Divjaka held their sixth consecutive night of protest on Wednesday evening against the territorial reform project, which envisages the merger of the Divjaka Municipality with the Lushnje Municipality. Gathered in the city center, the protesters once again expressed their opposition to this project, emphasizing that they are determined to continue the protests until it is canceled.

During the speeches, the residents called on the deputies elected by the votes of the citizens of Divjaka, both the majority and the opposition, to support their request and take a public stance in defense of the interests of the community.

The protesters declared that they will not stop the rallies until the government withdraws from the project to unite Divjaka with Lushnje.

They have also burned their Socialist Party (SP) cards as a sign of revolt, thus joining the socialists of other municipalities who have taken this action.

At the end of the protest, residents continued the nightly ritual, marching through the city streets, as a sign of determination to continue their opposition.
