Analyst Fatos Lubonja, invited to "Studio 24" on News24, sees the opposition's victory in the general elections in Hungary as an example that parties in Albania should follow.
"All parties should take an example, in terms of unity. What I have seen is not unity, but the approach of a part of the opposition that says they are together."
"They are not saying that we have an electoral autocrat but two heads, including Rama and Berisha," Lubonja said.
Fatos Lubonja: What happened in Hungary was precisely the unification of the entire opposition, led by a person who had only separated from Orbán for 2 years, and they all came together to strike at the electoral autocracy.
This is the priority of the elections, both local and general. All parties should take an example, in terms of unity. What I have seen is not unity, but the approach of a part of the opposition that says they are together. They do not say that we have an electoral autocrat but 2 heads, including Rama and Berisha.
It is not assumed that they will unite with the DP, almost as if they are not saying that they do not want Berisha. Here, there is a war of one opposition against another opposition, rather than an ability to unite against an autocrat.
Here, a unity is needed for democracy, to stabilize democracy, to lay the foundations upon which left and right parties should be built.
What I have seen is the protagonism of each party.
