EU Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, stated that the deadline for implementing several reforms that have been set as a condition on the path to integration expires in June.

While greeting in Albanian at the start of his speech at the joint conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama, Kos said that gaps should not be created in the Western Balkans on the path to integration.

"Greetings dear journalists and dear friends! It is very important for us to help the Western Balkans. I want to support not only Albania's progress in the EU, but I also feel your commitment. Today we had a conversation about how to make this path successful. It is true that enlargement is more than enlargement. Last week, the College approved the strategy shield, where EU citizens are treated equally. We will be involved in democracy. We want the EU to become a tangible reality in your countries. In some areas it is taking shape. Albanians, Montenegrins and North Macedonians benefit from SEPA transactions. We must move in sync and not create gaps between you. All Western Balkan countries must become full members of the EU. The second round of completing reforms expires in June. So work harder for reforms," she said.
