Citizens opposing construction projects in the Zvërnec area have announced the continuation of protests in the coming days in Tirana. From the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, the participants conveyed the message “Tomorrow more”, announcing a new rally on Tuesday at 18:00 PM in front of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Also, one of the symbolic moments of the rally was the lighting of cell phone flashes by the protesters on the Boulevard, as a sign of awareness and support for the cause that they have already started and are taking forward.

The organizers declared that the civic reaction will continue in the coming days, while calling on citizens to join the protests against the constructions that, according to them, endanger one of the most important natural areas of the country.

During the protest, citizens, activists, and civil society representatives expressed their opposition to the interventions in Zvërnec and appealed for the cancellation of the planned project.

On Saturday, citizens and activists were brutally raped by private security guards at the site where investments are planned in Zvërnec.
