Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a blunt and very brief statement, claiming that the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, which is supported and financed by Iran, is today at its weakest historical point.

According to the head of the Israeli government, the ongoing exchanges of fire and attacks with the militant group have now completely stopped. Netanyahu argued that this withdrawal of Hezbollah comes as a result of fear, after they saw with their own eyes the military strike that Israel carried out inside Iranian territory.

"The shooting has stopped because after they saw what we did in Iran, they stopped attacking us," Netanyahu declared.

Despite this temporary suspension of fighting, the Israeli prime minister has sent a clear and threatening message to Lebanon, announcing that his army is on full alert to react in the event of any unexpected scenario.

Netanyahu warned bluntly that if Hezbollah makes the fatal mistake of attacking Israel again, the response will be devastating:

"If they attack us, we will retaliate with force, because Israel has the full right to self-defense."
