Mark Nika, the uncle of Aleks Nika, one of the protesters killed during the events of January 21, 2011, spoke to the media after leaving the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), where he met with the prosecutor investigating the case.

Nika demanded the acceleration of the investigation, emphasizing that witnesses are under pressure and fear. "We demand that the investigation for January 21 be accelerated. Witnesses are under pressure and fear," he said.

According to him, the victims' families do not seek justice from the government, but from SPAK. "We do not seek justice from the government, but from SPAK. I am convinced that this case will be closed positively and the court will punish the murderers, rapists and manipulators of the case," said Nika, adding that responsibility begins with the Supreme Court, which according to him has certified an unfair trial.

He also made political accusations regarding the incident. “In terms of execution, the one who executed him is guilty. In terms of politics, I blame the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha; the minister at the time was Lulzim Basha,” Nika declared. He also raised questions about the removal and hiding of those responsible, as well as the manipulation of evidence.

According to him, the prosecutor in the case is currently investigating the procedures followed, while the family members hope that the process will lead to the full disclosure of the truth and the establishment of justice for the events of January 21.
