Klevis Balliu reacted on Facebook a year after the August 9th event, accusing the government of using the state-owned company KAYO to "hit"News24".

Balliu says that at the time the incident occurred, the television station was investigating and denouncing some of the affairs that he attributes to former Minister of Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku.

"KAYO was signed by Belinda Balluku and, at that time, News24 "was investigating and denouncing some of her affairs," Balliu writes.

According to him, Prime Minister Edi Rama's reaction was to send police to the television premises, while he claims that the goal was not only to remove the media, but also to seize documents used for the investigations.

Balliu also connects this event with the situation in the Fier prison, ironically mocking the great commitment of the police forces in intervening against "News24".

"If only they had sent as many police officers to the Fier prison as they did to News24"Maybe prisons wouldn't be controlled by crime," he says.

In conclusion, the opposition MP accuses the government of having state institutions under its control and closes the reaction with a direct accusation against the prime minister and the government.
