The Democratic Party has convened the Party Presidency today, where important decisions for this political force will be made.

From the Presidency of the DP, Sali Berisha harshly attacked Edi Rama regarding the "Balluku" issue and the threats that the prime minister has made against SPAK, according to him. Berisha said that SPAK was a direct victim of Rama, as well as every Albanian citizen and the aspirations for EU integration.

"In this clash, the absolute victim was without question the institution of the prosecution, SPAK and the courts for which the chief judge and chief prosecutor will be only Rama, after the vote in the Assembly. With the vote of the Assembly to close the possibility of an investigation without immunity of Balluku, the institution of the prosecution or its attempts to function on the basis of the law outside of executive control, receive a fatal, annihilating, fatal, final blow. So instead of Lubi Balluku and her associates, it is not she who has eaten pears behind Rama's back, but the opposite. With the vote in the Assembly the message is clear, you will not be able to exercise legal demands against any person connected to Rama without prior approval from him. Rama took this action to save his skin, but another major victim of this act is every Albanian citizen who aspires to integration into the EU",he said.

As announced, the meeting focuses on discussions about the protest of March 22. This protest comes after the Socialists' action to prevent SPAK from arresting MP Belinda Balluku.

Another item on the agenda is the approval of the date when the National Assembly of the Democratic Party of Albania will be held, where elections for the chairman will be held, as well as for other important party positions.

Also, the last item on the agenda of the DP presidency will be the establishment of a working group, which will serve to approve statutory changes.
