Under a festive atmosphere, the Sweets Festival has opened in the town of Maliqi for the 17th year in a row. Once this area had the Sugar Factory, so even today the residents fanatically preserve this beautiful tradition, which promotes the cuisine of the area.
The Mayor of Maliqi, Gëzim Topçiu, says that the "Feast of Sweets" helps promote the products of the area to consumers.
The Mayor of Corinth, Nikos Stavrelis, joined the celebration, who was welcomed by the Prefect of the Korçë District, Nertil Jole, where they gave the news that they are working on the twinning of the two municipalities.
Residents, but also visitors enjoyed the products of the area in the traditional celebration of sweets, where the special tradition of agricultural and livestock products is combined.
