The United States Embassy in Albania has reacted to the February 20 protest.

In her response, she once again called on American citizens in our country to be careful and avoid unnecessary movements in Tirana.

The opposition protest will be held in front of the Prime Minister's Office at 18:00 PM.

Event:   A demonstration is scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2026, at 18:00 PM. Protesters plan to gather at the Prime Minister's Office building, located on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard between Mother Teresa Square and Skanderbeg Square. Increased police presence, road closures, and traffic disruptions are expected in the hours leading up to and during the protests. The Albanian State Police has announced that protesters may block intersections in various parts of the city center. U.S. Embassy personnel are advised to avoid the demonstration.
