This Saturday morning, a large flow of vehicles, mainly small vehicles, heading towards Greece, was observed. This increased flow has caused the queue of vehicles to stretch for several hours, reaching almost 2 kilometers, near the intersection with the entrance road to the city of Konispol.
The queue was created due to delays on the Greek side, where two counters are operating, while the Albanian side is operating with 4 counters.
According to information from the Qafë Bota Police Station, it is reported that so far around 1700 people, both local and foreign, have been registered heading towards Greece.
According to statistics, by 13:30 p.m., 800 Albanian citizens and 848 foreign citizens (1648 people) have left the Qafë Botë checkpoint. A total of 565 vehicles have also left, with 276 Albanian vehicles and 290 foreign vehicles specified.
