After 12 years away from her homeland and a long ordeal in Syria, Eva Dumani has returned to Albania, reuniting with her mother and brother in Tirana.
She was the last Albanian girl left in the infamous Al Hol camp, in northern Syria.
Regarding this event, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also reacted, informing that thanks to the coordination and cooperation between several institutions of the Albanian state, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the country's diplomatic representation in Turkey, the operation to return to Albania of citizen Eva Dumani, who had been in a camp in Syria for several years, was successfully carried out.

In response to media interest, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs informs that thanks to the coordination and cooperation between several institutions of the Albanian state, including the MFA through the country's diplomatic representation in Turkey, the operation for the return to Albania of citizen ED, who had been in a camp in Syria for several years, has been successfully carried out. The operation, which has been extended over time, was made possible with the support of our partners, in particular with the contribution of the Turkish authorities, whom we thank for their cooperation in this sensitive case. The MFA reconfirms its readiness and willingness to respond in any case, to the needs or situations that affect Albanian citizens wherever they are across the borders.
