Lefter Maliqi has today brought to attention the issue of the mayor of Kuçova, Kreshnik Hajdari, who, according to him, is in this position in violation of the law.
In a post on social media, Maliqi writes that after 3 years of delays, procedural maneuvers and deliberate silence, today the CEC remembers to request "urgent information" on the legal status of Kreshnik Hajdari. But the question is: why now and not in 2023, when the denunciation with evidence and legal documents was made public?
According to Lefter Maliqi, Hajdari should not have been allowed to run for the Kuçovë Municipality, as he had concealed a final criminal conviction in Greece. He accuses the CEC of deliberate delay, political protection and manipulation of the electoral process, while emphasizing that SPAK and the Special Court have convicted Hajdari for this matter.
Maliqi demands that not only Hajdar's current legal status be investigated, but also the legality of his candidacy in the 2023 elections. According to him, this issue has become a national scandal and those responsible must be held accountable before the law.
Full post:
After 3 years of procrastination, procedural maneuvers, and deliberate silence, today the CEC suddenly remembers to request "urgent information" on the legal status of Kreshnik Hajdari of Kuçova!
Why now?
Why not in April 2023, when the "Together We Win" Coalition officially informed you, in writing and in a public session, of Hajdar's final criminal decision in Greece, sealed with an apostille?
The truth is only one:
Kreshnik Hajdari should NOT have been allowed to run in the May 2023 elections for the Kuçova Municipality.
But the CEC chose to "buy time", turn a blind eye and protect the Party's candidate, along with his lawyer, former Attorney General Theodhori Sollaku, who for 3 years used every procedural trick to prevent the full truth from coming out.
Meanwhile, the citizens of Kuçova know very well how that mandate was stolen:
with the division of the opposition, with the pressures of the "Bistr operational", the Çuç family, etc. against our supporters, with political interference from above, with manipulation of the electoral process and serious suspicions of changing ballot boxes and minutes in the Kuçovë CEAZ.
Facts are stubborn.
We have not requested the personal “dismissal” of Hajdari. We have requested and are requesting the invalidation of his candidacy, because he had concealed a final criminal conviction in Greece.
For this fact, SPAK and the Special Court sentenced Hajdar to prison, later converted to community service, while he still continues to enjoy the stolen mayoral mandate.
Today, as the CEC has begun requesting data on Hajdari's legal status at two points in time, we remind the CEC that it must also request information about the moment when Hajdari submitted his candidacy and the moment when the "Together We Win" Coalition officially denounced him to the CEC with evidence and legal documents.
Don't drag out this legal ordeal any longer!
Because this story has become a national shame and another scandal that adds to the long list of CEC scandals with political and oligarchic interference.
Justice delays, but it does not forget.
Anyone who has violated the law, anyone who has abused their duty and distorted the will of citizens, will be held accountable before the law.
Democracy must be put in place.
The blame must go to the owner!
