Journalist Osman Stafa in an interview on the show "This Week" on News24 spoke about the long ordeal of the battle regarding the worrying issue of the lack of medicines and chemicals for children.

The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal on the issue of chemotherapy drugs for children, a complaint made by the journalist News24 Osman Staff.

He stated that he has made successive denunciations, while also sharing a painful case of a 5-year-old child who has to deal with this serious illness.

"Good news, after 4 years. And when it takes 4 years to get a green light for justice to be done for children, it's definitely too late. But in the end, there is also some hope that justice can be done. For 2 years, I have been presenting evidence to the prosecution, since 2020, 2021, 2022 there has been a shortage of medicines for children. How were those children treated in the absence of those medicines? The prosecution dismissed it and said there is no case. I stood by all the claims I had made in the report. I sent the questions I had raised as a request for information to the QSUT directorate. The QSUT directorate says 'there are no medicines', it confirmed my claims. And the Tirana prosecution dismissed it. I appealed the case to the court of first instance... I am a journalist raising the claims, and you are the prosecution body... I presented evidence, cases. One of the cases that shocked me was when a 5-year-old girl with cancer, did not She knew what she was facing, but her arms were black and every time she saw the white T-shirts she cried because she couldn't stand the pain from the piercings. Her mother took her home, "I took my daughter home to die because there is no medicine." The doctors had told the parents that it is not our responsibility to provide medication but the Albanian state ministry's," he said.
