After the Head of Infectious Diseases, Najada Çomo, the second in line to receive the anti-Covid vaccine was Prime Minister Edi Rama himself.
Rama announced earlier that he would get the anti-Covid vaccine today, out of turn as a sign of awareness for all skeptics. This is the first dose of the vaccine, as Rama and the others will have to get the second dose after 21 days.
Meanwhile, immediately after Rama, the vaccine was administered by infectious disease specialist Pëllumb Pipero and then by doctor Tritan Kalo.
As has already been announced, the first to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech product are doctors, then the elderly. Prime Minister Rama said a little while ago that the first 975 doses of vaccines have arrived in our country from an EU country.
The vaccine in Albania is free and not mandatory, while the first vaccination center has currently been opened at the "Air Albania" stadium.
