The Kremlin has stated that the United States is rushing to reach a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine.
But according to the Kremlin, reaching any agreement is far from certain because the issues are very complex and the talks are practically at an impasse.
"It is understandable that the American side is in a hurry," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, adding: "But the issue of resolving the Ukrainian issue is extremely complex and reaching a peace agreement is very far away, with many complex details."
The Kremlin said the ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia had been in effect for three days and that negotiations remained suspended for the time being.
