Acromax CEO, Aldor Nini, shared today his experience of traveling to several countries around the world, some of the poorest and most corrupt, as well as the 'promised land' of Albanians, America.
Invited to the show 'This Week' on News24, Nini said that he had traveled to African countries, while adding that he was shocked by the situation in Nigeria, where corruption is at alarming levels, but also other problems. He also stopped to visit the USA, where he spent the holidays of November 28-29.
"In South Africa it was a very interesting experience. People lived a very good life because the salaries were like in Albania, but the prices were 10 times lower.
In Nigeria on the other hand it was a horror, corruption was at extreme levels. Fuel was guarded by people with canes, because people went to schools without electricity and had power banks to charge their phones. There were potholes on the roads, dead people on the streets. On the other hand, officials with Rolex watches and Hermes slippers.
On November 28th in Manhattan, there were musical performances and explanations about characters who had contributed to the Albanian community.
There was a person who had built one of the best steak houses where politicians used to go. I asked him why he didn't come and build one in Albania, but they are isolated there in that community.
"I was honored with an award in recognition of my actions and my company's contribution to the Albanian diaspora, because Acromax is not a German company with Albanian roots, but works for the international market," he said.
