The European Democratic Party has reacted to the protests taking place in Albania, expressing support for the peaceful protesters of the "Flamingo Revolution".
In a post published on social networks, the European Democratic Party emphasizes that the streets of Tirana were once again filled with protesters, while the movement has continued for 50 consecutive days with the demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to the statement, the protesters are demanding more than a change of government. They are seeking a deep democratic renewal, based on transparency, accountability and the rule of law.
"Peaceful protesters deserve to be heard, not mocked or ignored. Flamingos should never be evicted. They should be heard. This is where democracy begins," the reaction reads.

Last night, the streets of Tirana were filled with people again. For 50 consecutive days, Albania's Flamingo Revolution has continued its call for the resignation of Edi Rama, rejecting an opposition that many see as part of the same discredited political establishment.
