The closing ceremony of the transitional re-evaluation process of judges and prosecutors in the Republic of Albania, organized by the Special Appeals Chamber of the Constitutional Court, took place in Tirana.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of one of the most important processes of justice reform and consolidation of the rule of law, with the participation of representatives of constitutional institutions, the justice system, and international partners who have supported the reform.

The President of the Constitutional Court, Fiona Papajorgji, assessed that the vetting process has contributed to strengthening the culture of accountability and institutional integrity, setting new standards in the exercise of public functions and increasing citizens' trust in justice.

Referring to the new phase that follows the completion of the reassessment process, she emphasized:

"The Constitutional Court remains committed to responsibly exercising every competence that the Constitution and the law have assigned to it. It is aware of its role and responsibilities to ensure the continuity of vetting standards, but especially to guarantee a fair, credible and uncontested process by the parties. To this end, careful and balanced legal interventions are also welcome."

In this context, the Constitutional Court guarantees the exercise of its powers in an independent, impartial manner, in accordance with the Constitution and the principles of the rule of law.
