The National Taekwondo Championship is “dressed” in white and blue, with Tirana continuing its absolute dominance for a decade. Under the leadership of the iconic coach Arjola Kasaj, the Tirana club came out with 21 medals from this edition, securing 8 first places, 6 second places and 7 third places. The white and blue team was represented at the National Taekwondo Championship with 23 adult athletes and 3 young athletes.
What stands out was another very significant detail as Tirana dominated with female athletes, where out of 8 weights, 5 of them were won by the blue-and-white girls.
These figures also gave Tirana the status of the best adult team in this edition. Not only that, but also the best athlete of this tournament, for adults, was declared Ernest Merdanaj from Tirana.
