The 14th consecutive massive protest in Tirana has brought very special scenes and symbolic performances that have attracted the attention of all present.
A group of citizens have chosen a highly original and striking way to express their revolt against the political class and corruption.
Several protesters appeared in the middle of the boulevard dressed in orange prison uniforms and handcuffs, wearing masks with the faces of Prime Minister Edi Rama, opposition leader Sali Berisha, and former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
In their symbolic performance, the person wearing the former prime minister's mask also held a banner that read: "Defendant SALI BERISHA - TRAITOR TO THE NATION." Meanwhile, the protester wearing the Edi Rama mask stood with his hands cuffed up, while other symbols were displayed next to them.
