Leka II Zogu has married Blerta Celibashi, according to an official statement published by the Albanian Royal Court.

The announcement distributed to the public states that the Prince's marriage was celebrated in a private ceremony, preserving the intimate and solemn character of this moment.

According to the statement, the official photo released on this occasion was taken at Apponyi Castle in Slovakia, a place of historical importance for the royal family.

The selection of this environment is also related to the heritage of Queen Geraldine's family, of Hungarian origin, which, according to the announcement, remains an important part of the history of the Albanian royal family.

After marriage, Blerta Celibashi will retain the Zogu family surname and the title Princess of the Albanians.
