Albania has made significant improvements in relation to itself, but also compared to countries in the region in the PISA 2025 test. The results were published today at the conference of Education Ministers in Bratislava, while the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, made public the results for Albania.

"From Bratislava, where the ministerial of OECD countries has gathered to publish the results of the latest PISA 2025 test, I am pleased to share good news, where Albania has made significant progress in all three tests conducted by PISA - reading, science and mathematics. In the mathematics test, Albania has increased by 65 points, in science by 59 points and in reading by 50 points", said the Minister of Education.

Albania ranks first in the region in science, leaving behind countries such as Serbia, Greece, Montenegro, Bulgaria and North Macedonia, while leading the classification in mathematics together with Montenegro.

"We have growth compared not only to 2022, but also in the region, where Albania has the highest results. Specifically in mathematics and science, Albania has the highest level in the Western Balkans region. These indicators reflect the progress that Albania has made in a field such as education and it is not simply historical pride, but especially ambition and intention to move forward. It is not important which country we have surpassed, but to understand how PISA helps us increase the performance of our teachers and how students increase their skills," the minister continued.

During this event, Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro will be part of panels and discussions on other issues such as performance analysis, concentration, the role of Artificial Intelligence, etc.
