An Albanian citizen living in Germany has joined the protest held in Skanderbeg Square, describing it as one of the most important moments for the country in recent decades. He said that the peaceful protest represents, according to him, a reaction to the accumulated dissatisfaction over the last 36 years, mentioning pensioners, students, medicine, farmers and education.

"In these 36 years, this peaceful protest is the most beautiful thing that is happening to the country. They have stolen our freedom, pensioners, students, medicine, farmers and education," he said.

The citizen said that the responsibility also lies with the citizens, as according to him they have tolerated for many years the policies pursued by the left and right governments. "It is also our fault, we have endured these 36 years that they have stolen from us, left and right," he declared.

According to him, Albania is at a critical point and change must come through a new political class. "Albania is on the edge of the abyss. If it doesn't happen this time, it won't happen again. We must work for change, for a new political class," he said.

The citizen called on Albanians inside and outside the country to get involved and participate in the protest. "I call on Albanians everywhere where Albanian is spoken to unite. Everyone should rise up in protest, even our children," he said.

Finally, he thanked the media for covering the protest, mentioning in particular News24"I have a thank you to you as the media, you are the only media that broadcasts and keeps this protest alive.
