A serious incident was recorded yesterday in Berat. A 38-year-old man, a resident of the "Barrikadë" neighborhood in Berat, in severe depression, had drunk a considerable amount of poison in his apartment.

He was found in critical condition by his family and transported by ambulance to the Berat Regional Hospital. Doctors at this hospital did their utmost to save his life, but he passed away two hours later.

After conducting a forensic autopsy, it turned out that the victim IT had ingested two types of poison: fostoxin and rat poison.

Official police sources confirm that the investigation team is working to fully clarify the incident, while it is confirmed that there were no signs of violence on the victim's body.
