Kujtim Cakrani, Ilir Meta's lawyer, revealed details from today's hearing at the GJKKO for the PL president.
After the panel of judges decided to reject Meta's request to leave the cell against a financial guarantee of 50 thousand euros, Cakrani said that this decision was unfair.
He added that the case has already been sent to trial and keeping Meta in prison is unjust.
He also added that during the session he had asked the judges to release the PL leader today since it is his birthday and that this decision should serve as a gift for Meta, who has been in prison since October 21, 2024.
