Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that Iran has shown willingness to resume talks on the nuclear issue with the United States.

But on the other hand, it has also set some red lines regarding Tehran's missile program.

In a statement from Istanbul, Araqchi said that Tehran would be ready to resume talks with Washington if they were conducted in a "fair and equal" manner.

The Iranian official also added that he has said he is open to measures that help build confidence regarding the nuclear program, but stressed that Iran's military stance is non-negotiable.

"Iran's defense capabilities and missiles will never be subject to negotiations," he said.
