Former DP candidate on the open list of the Durrës district for the general elections of May 11, Jola Hysaj, in a message on the social network Instagram, has called for participation in the protest organized by the opposition on Monday at 18:00 PM in front of the Prime Minister's Office.

Hysaj writes that Albanians should protest because every day they are paying more and more to live worse.

"Because work no longer guarantees dignity, retirement no longer guarantees survival, and the future no longer guarantees hope."

They must protest because the state is talking but not listening. Because decisions are made far from citizens, while the consequences fall on them. Because selective justice, lack of transparency, and political irresponsibility have eroded public trust.

"The protest of December 22 is a dividing line: between surrender and active citizenship. It is not an act of rebellion, but an act of self-respect. It is a clear demand that power return to its mission: service to the people," the democrat writes.

Why should Albanians protest on December 22?

Because patience is not infinite and silence is not a solution. Albanians must protest because every day they are paying more and more to live worse. Because work no longer guarantees dignity, pensions do not guarantee survival and the future does not guarantee hope.

They must protest because the state is talking but not listening. Because decisions are made far from citizens, while the consequences fall on them. Because selective justice, lack of transparency, and political irresponsibility have eroded public trust.

The protest of December 22 is a dividing line: between surrender and active citizenship. It is not an act of rebellion, but an act of self-respect. It is a clear demand that power return to its mission: service to the people.

Not protesting means accepting the normalization of injustice. Protesting means defending the right to a livable life in your country. And that is a strong, profound, and sufficient reason to take to the streets.
