Environmentalist Sazan Guri spoke at the 90th protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, describing the civic movement as an expression of the Albanian spirit and soul.

Guri said that, regardless of the titles or roles that individuals may have, participation in the protest constitutes one of the highest forms of civic responsibility. According to Guri, this movement does not need commanders or leaders, as its strength comes from the citizens. He said that Albanians are protesting to protect the country and praised the peaceful manner in which the protest was conducted. Guri went on to accuse the government of its policies towards citizens, describing the situation as a political “genocide.”

“Before I came here, someone told me: 'You are a great professor.' My answer is: The highest part of every professor, of every student, of every Albanian is this protest. This movement does not need commanders, generals, presidents or chairmen. This movement has a general greater than all these commanders or any of us, and he is the spirit of the protest, the Albanian spirit and the Albanian soul.

Albania needs it when it calls. Every foreign media, Italian, French, says: 'Look at how beautifully Albanians protest and do not destroy'. All Albanians today protest to defend their homeland. So, you damned one, you have committed genocide with Albanian policy towards this people. It is not wrong to react," Guri asserted.
