The Vice President of the Freedom Party, Erisa Xhixho, commented on the show 'News24 Weekend' by moderator Megi Latifi, the opposition protest that took place yesterday in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
She noted that the protest had an extraordinary turnout, but was met with one-sided violence. Xixho underlined that the democrats were being threatened and terrorized with tear gas.
"Just two days ago, several alternatives were presented in the Assembly by opposition MPs, starting with VAT on food, food security, Ms. Tabaku's proposals for miners, for Excise or even teachers' salaries, all of which were arrogantly thrown into the trash by the majority. I think that yesterday's protest had an extraordinary turnout. Yesterday there was one-sided violence. Yesterday the minister said that she would not be held responsible for the violence in the protest. We saw people infiltrate the protest. Tear gas was thrown at the DP headquarters. Democrats were being threatened and kept under terror," said Xhixho.
