Today is the 17th day of the massive protest taking place in Tirana. Doctor and protester Ermal Pashaj invited to the lunch program in News24, where he explained the reasons that push him and other citizens to come out.

Pashaj raised the alarm about the situation in the country, emphasizing that Albania is regressing in democracy and that citizens face the most banal difficulties every day.

"It seems like we are regressing in democracy and we lack justice. We are finding it difficult to implement everyday life, to find a solution for minimalist family investments. On a daily basis, we have to face the most banal problems to achieve the goal of work and return to the family. This is difficult for 1000 reasons, from food security to construction. We have seen that there are unexplained phenomena," the doctor said.

Doctor Pashaj openly admitted that he attempted to leave Albania, but decided to return because of his family and the desire to raise his children in his homeland, describing the mass exodus of young people as a "tragedy."

"I have even tried to leave Albania. But the European mentality is not our mentality. I cannot allow my child to be indoctrinated by the philosophy of another country. We cannot submit like this. I raise my child and love him here. The tragedy that our parents caused their children and could not make them happy... I want my children to be here tomorrow, to bury me. These are macabre. These are intolerable situations because they touch the soul," said Pashaj.

He emphasized that Albanian youth are civilized and cannot "turn a blind eye" to the situation in Albania.
