One of the activists protesting against the Rama government has called for mass participation in the protests planned for September, warning of an escalation of civic action.
The activist said that the dates September 10, 17, and 24 coincide with Thursdays when plenary sessions of Parliament are held and called on citizens to gather in the morning hours.
"The call for these dates is for a massive participation in the morning. Let's gather at 'Skënderbej' Square and then at Parliament," he declared.
According to him, Parliament will be the starting point of the protests, while how they continue will depend on developments on the ground.
"The starting point is Parliament, but, depending on how the protest unfolds, we warn that we will escalate into disobedience," the activist said.
He also warned of protests that could spill over into the streets of the capital, with the aim of creating greater pressure on the government.
"We will try to block all the roads in Tirana, in order to temporarily paralyze Tirana and make them stop and listen to us, because we have 99 days," he said.
The activist also criticized the number of deputies and their influence in decision-making, stating that citizens will not back down from their demands.
"140 people cannot drag 2 million Albanian souls. Therefore, we will not give up without getting what we came for," he declared.
In conclusion, the activist warned that protesters will intensify their action during September, describing it as a crucial month for the government.
"We will do our utmost to ensure that this September is the last September for this government," he concluded.
