MP and Deputy Leader of the Democratic Party, Luçiano Boçi, invited to News24, has explained the reasons why the next opposition protest is scheduled for March 22, a day that also coincides with the holiday of Sultan Nevruz.

Boçi stated that this date was chosen for its dual symbolism, emphasizing that March 22 has a historical significance for the country, but also a special spiritual importance for believers.

"Why this day? The day is historic, as well as a holy day. It unites both. It is March 22, the establishment of the democratic system in the country, which today has received a fatal blow from the communist-socialist-Renaissance party. We definitely need a reaction," declared Boçi.

According to him, the protest cannot be limited or postponed due to holidays, as civic discontent, as he said, is continuous and knows no rest.

"If we go with the idea that the protest must respect the holiday, it loses its meaning. We will unite the sanctity of this date with its historical side and we will appeal to citizens. There is no moment when anger takes a break and another day when anger is at work. Anger is every day and, when the issue is not resolved, it continues in different forms," said Boçi.

The opposition has announced that the March 22 protest will be part of its political action against the government, inviting citizens to participate in the rally.
