TIRANA – During the protest against the government of Prime Minister Edi Rama, one of the citizens present at the rally gave a speech to the protesters, stating that according to him, citizens are revolted and demand change.
"The foundations of Parliament are being shaken, officials are trembling in their offices. For 34 years in a row they have stolen from us, oppressed us, and driven us from the country," the protester said.
He stated that citizens have risen up to demand a change in the political situation in the country.
"The people are awake and the flame will fall on these. On the 11th, Albania will rise up, Albanians are demanding revolution," he said.
The protest is part of the rallies held in recent weeks against the government, where many citizens have demanded transparency and accountability from institutions.
