In an interview in "This Week" IN News24, MP Erion Braçe stated that the Socialist Party should be an open party where dialogue prevails.
During the studio interview, Braçe recalled 2005, for which he stated that processes that began at that time are no longer present in the SP today.
"What I have asked for is not a seat, or to appoint or announce me as a candidate for the municipality of Tirana. Because I have asked for a process that I think should absorb all the energy of the socialists of Tirana and anyone else. These processes where energizing are called dual memberships, I do not think that energize the SP. In 2005 we clearly said that the party should be open, where its members and supporters choose by vote the people and the path that the party should follow", he said, adding: "The processes that we started very well in 2005 are no longer there. During these two months I have said why I was asking for this process, because they are processes that are missing, we have turned into a wall that places announcements both for individuals and for politics. But it should be the opposite, it should be an open process. Dialogue and debate in the SP that avoids any misunderstanding or, as has been said, any kind of rebellion process within the SP. Dialogue is useful", he further said.
