Opportunity Party MP Erald Kapri has cast doubt on the draft resolution which was approved by consensus by the Socialist Party and the Democratic Party in the last parliamentary session.

Invited to the studio of the show "This Week" in News24, he described the resolution as "fictitious" and without any real political effect, accusing the two major parties of collusion and close political collaboration.

According to him, the Opportunity Party was not included in the discussions and even if it had been invited, it would not have participated in a process that, according to Kapri, was predetermined by the SP and the DP.

"The resolution was fictitious in the way it was made. The SP and the DP got together and did not invite us. Even if they had invited us, we did not want to be part of it. It is so superficial that it does not indicate that there will be any political change," he declared.

Kapri said that a "political honeymoon" is currently being created between the Socialists and Democrats, which, according to him, is also being reflected in the negotiations on the Electoral Code and territorial reform.

"The DP gave a hand to the SP in this case. In principle, no one is against European integration, but the biggest problem today is the Balluku issue and it was not included in the resolution at all," he said.

Kapri raised questions about the voting on the document in the conditions when, according to him, European partners have expressed concerns about the case of Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

"The first sentence in the resolution should have been the lifting of political immunity. We think that the DP should not have voted on the resolution without first voting on the lifting of Balluk's immunity in Parliament," said the MP.
