"The Democratic Party is the only force with concrete results for integration," said lawyer Eda Grimci in an interview with New24.
During the interview, she emphasized that the Socialist Party has not taken any concrete steps. She also accused the government of being mired in corruption.
"The SP voted for the DP's draft proposal. It was a draft proposed by the DP. Don't take it as an agreement but as an achievement of the DP. We have been accused of hindering integration, but that is not the case. The DP is not against integration. They have been in power for 14 years, not a single step forward from the SP. Balluku was the red line, the elephant in the room is the corruption of the Rama government. Mrs. Balluku is accused of corruption and inequality in tenders, we have the mayor in prison. The opposition has been completely left out," she said.
He further added that the Balluku issue is a red line for integration, adding that the European Parliament has clearly stated this.
"The EP has said the Balluku issue is a red line. The blockage does not come from the DP, but comes from the acts voted in Parliament by the majority. IBAR does not pass, so the issue is not whether or not the DP. The DP definitely wants to see Albania in the EU.
