Albanian doctor working in Germany, Erion Dasho, has commented on the serious incident that occurred yesterday at the QSUT, where the lights went out in the surgical resuscitation room.

He said on the lunch program at News24 that the hospital must provide 2 safety lines for electricity, which ensure the life of every patient.

"Let me show you how the hospital's operations are planned. There are two lines in the hospital. Which, if damaged, guarantee energy, even in the wards where patients are in serious condition, these devices remain operational even if the power is cut off. Then there is the generator, if the power is cut off, which comes into operation. Two lines independent of each other. In some cases, life and death are separated by a few seconds. Therefore, these parts of the hospital must have support. It is unacceptable for a special center to have power outages for minutes or hours. This harms the quality of care, the safety of patients, as their lives are put at risk. Without energy, the safety of patients with aspiration or cardiac problems is put in question. We are in a situation where an intensive care ward or in resuscitation, without energy, endangers the lives of patients. This is an unacceptable situation. Hospitals in Germany are not run by patronage workers. In these 13 years "Since the Rilindja government, the structures of the QSUT have been destroyed. The one who is the security committee, conducts tests on every subsystem of the hospital. One of the lines is turned off and another line is checked to enter the role. Not even the emergency lights in the corridors at the QSUT work," he said.
