A citizen participating in the 100th protest against the government has conveyed a strong message about the dignity, meritocracy, and the future of Albanian children.

Speaking from the protest, she said that citizens should not be treated as numbers and that jobs should be earned through merit and not through connections or money. "We are not numbers, we have a name, we have dignity. We are equal. A job should not be taken with a friend, but with merit," the citizen said.

She also brought to attention the difficulties of Albanian families, saying that parents face daily concerns about their children's future and how they will cope with the month. "A mother wants to fulfill her child's wishes, while a father thinks about how the month will end," she said.

The citizen demanded a government that, according to her, would be at the service of the citizens and not of personal interests. "We want a government that is for the people, not thinking about itself. We are here for our rights and we are not asking for privileges. We are asking for what is ours," she declared.

Another concern she raised was the emigration of young people. She said that Albanians are demanding conditions so that their children are not forced to leave the country. “We demand that our children not pack their bags and head to the airport,” the protester said.

In her speech, she also saluted the Albanian diaspora for the protests held abroad, praising their resilience. "Bravo to the diaspora that has been protesting for four months and is not giving up," she said.

Finally, the citizen also raised the issue of the island of Sazan, expressing her opposition to what she considered an attempt to sell it. "We are here, we do not stop our rights, because we deserve them. And an island that we have, Sazan, they want to sell," she declared.
