Former Democratic Party MP Ervin Salianji has commented on the massive protests that have been taking place in Tirana for 56 days, with the 57th one taking place today. He commented in a television appearance that Rama has been disloyal to the Albanians, focusing on the document that he proposed to the Albanians. According to Salianji, Rama and Berisha are two out-of-fashion characters in Albania, while emphasizing that the protest is an extraordinary event.

"It is an unprecedented event in Albania, as there is an extraordinary participation. It is persistence and stability to be envied by the citizens, to demand Rama's resignation. They were not influenced by the World Cup or the high temperatures. This reaction has filled the citizens. Today Rama seems old-fashioned, out of fashion, along with Berisha. He will leave political life. The protest has managed to be attractive. Rama and Berisha are protecting each other, to protect their interests. They have turned the party into their private property. The protesters with broad intuition, what the polls say, are making an appropriate reaction. For 7-8 months I have said the same thing in the meetings I have had, since Berisha is an obstacle to the development of the country and they no longer want Rama. They are a captured policy.

Each citizen comes out for his own concern. When we have a system that serves personal interest, this moment would come, since we have no representation. This is an important moment for the country, which glorifies the mentality of the Albanian people. Rama has proposed a new Assembly. Besa has been a sacred state institution, and to bring several centuries later an institution that functions in human relations, but not in politics, is a regression. Besa was given for the word, for blood feud, for welcoming a friend. In this situation, Rama has shown himself to be unfaithful by not respecting the contract with the Albanians," he said.
