The Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, responded to the opposition's accusations from the Parliament, while emphasizing that he had come to the Parliament today out of respect for the deputies, but he should have been at the Trauma Hospital, where the injured policeman in Maliq is located.
He said he refuses to be part of the ugly theater.
"Honorable Madam Chair of the Session!
I have asked for the floor several times and it was not given to me! To stand up for a minute of silence in honor of the employee killed today and then continue with this ugly theater. God save Albanians from those unscrupulous people, with masks who are ready to walk over victims just to achieve their populist goal.
But you have nothing to do with that protest, they despise you. You are making a spectacle, you speak and ask questions to the Minister of Internal Affairs and you just don't give him the floor. This is an ugly spectacle that I reject.
Madam Chair, please restore calm in the hall, because they are behaving like children.
Oh my God, that deformation of adjectives, don't try in vain, because the exclusive right to deform is reserved for the buffoon of your group, not you! So be careful!
While you, sir, can go to the protest yourself, try to catch some reels there, but you have nothing to do with it, you don't inspire, they know you too!
Mr. Shehaj, you have left this party and no one trusts you.
Mr. Kapri was demanding the resignation of the Minister of Internal Affairs over a situation, after a minute earlier he had stood up in respect for the murdered policeman... can you please rest, keep calm!?
If you want to understand, you have to listen to me! Don't make noise, it's shameful what you're doing.
Mr. Këlliçi, while those two former colleagues of yours were trying to intervene, I was communicating with the General Director of the State Police, who informed me that fortunately, the injured officer is out of danger. And I guarantee you and everyone else here that a full assessment of the management of the situation there will be made, the appropriate administrative, disciplinary, legal, etc. measures will be taken, and I assure you of this.
On the other hand, I have come here for the interpellation in respect of your request, if we continue with this ugly theater, continue, shame on you, I will leave because it is more important to be there in the hospital, to visit the wounded officer than to sit in on an ugly show that Albanian citizens despise.
"Thank you very much," he said.
