Sulejman Demollari kicked the first goal in the match between Dinamo Bucharest and U. Cluj in the Romanian championship (ended 2-1 for the locals). The former Albanian national football player is considered one of the best foreign players in the history of the Romanian championship. A “legend” returned to Bucharest. Demollari was greeted by thousands of fans in Bucharest where he was moved to tears by emotion.
Sulejman Demollari recalled the time he spent at Dinamo, between 1991 and 1995. The Albanian remained in the club's history, being the first foreigner to shine in the red and black jersey.
Demollari revealed that he feels Romanian after playing for Dinamo, confessing that he has also met his former teammates, with whom he won the title more than 30 years ago, in League 1.
"I came for a documentary, a film about my life, which also includes Dinamo Bucharest. I came with a lot of emotions, after so many years I came to see the team.
"It's a great emotion, yesterday evening I met with the boys, we had a party with Mihăescu, the captain, Gică Mihali, Sebi Moga, Costel Pană, Florentin Petre, Tom Cristea... and it was a nostalgic discussion," Demollari told Romanian media, among other things.
