DP MP, Ina Zhupa, in the requested interpellation with the Minister of Education, focused on the PISA results, where Albania ranks lower, compared to previous years.
From the floor of the Assembly, Zhupa said that the data of this report were encouraging for Albania, which is ranked below Palestine and Uzbekistan. Among other things, the democrat said that illiteracy is deepening in the country.
"After the release of the Pisa results, which were embarrassing data. This is a report that exposes the propaganda and proves the collapse of the pre-university system in Albania. Albania had the biggest decline of any country in the region, compared to itself since 2009. It has fallen by 47-68-50 points. We are ranked lower than Palestine, than Uzbekistan. We had a bigger decline than all other countries. The skills of our students have gone back to 2000. Illiteracy has deepened. We have declined in three main areas," she said.
