A terrifying incident has occurred at the Beverly Hills residence of famous singer Rihanna, where she, her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children and the singer's mother were inside when a woman opened fire. The defendant, Ivana Lizette Ortiz, 35, of Orlando, Florida, has been arrested and faces felony charges of attempted murder against Rihanna, 10 counts of assault with a weapon and three counts of domestic violence.
Thankfully, no one was injured. According to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hawkman, the shooting occurred Sunday afternoon and Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were in a mobile home at the residence, while the rest of the family and staff stayed in the main house.
The audio of the call shows about ten shots fired and mentions a white Tesla Model 3 with temporary license plates, from which the shots are suspected to have come. Ortiz remains in custody and her bail is set at $1.8 million, and if convicted, she could face up to life in prison. During her latest court hearing, her lawyer initially pleaded not guilty, but the hearing was postponed until March 25. The incident has shocked the community and raised concerns about the safety of public figures in Beverly Hills.
